This beautiful and slightly weathered water pipe is made with a bronze base, an attachment piece for the bamboo or cloth pipe, a wooden body and a clay bowl on top. There used to be a pipe attached to the base but it has disappeared over time. Hookahs, especially wooden ones, are popular in Nepal where men and women enjoyed smoking it. The use of hookahs was for a long time a symbol of family elitism. Nowadays, hookahs have become populair with young people and tourists.
