Red ink stamp for ghost money

€35.00 EUR
Old and original small red ink stamps. This was used to make Joss Paper, also known as ghost money (In Western societies we are most familiar with one type of ghost money called Hell Bank Notes which resembles real paper currency). These are sheets of paper are used as burnt offerings on religious holidays, special occasions and at funerals. Burning this ghost money would ensure that the spirits of the deceased would have lots of good things in his or her afterlife and is a way of honouring ancestors.
