Carved bone handle brushes

Large carved bone handle brushes in different carving styles. The white end and top is made out of bone, and the brush tips out of animal hair.

Chinese horse hair calligraphy brushes are regarded as great decorative items for some time now. They make great accessories which fit with a range of interiors as an oriental or worldly piece. They come in a range of materials from carved inexpensive coloured jade beads, carved stone or ox bone, bamboo, glass beads or cloisonné. We call them calligraphy brushes, but no real calligrapher would actually use these decorations for calligraphy. We could use them mostly as dusters if we want to give them a function. But we use them mainly as decorative items. Inexpensive, decorative and sometimes useful; these brushes make excellent gifts!

The photos represent the product very well, but because these are unique items, small changes in color, finish, size, are acceptable.
