Bashō 50x30 CATERPILLAR
We are excited with the new Spring design by The Silk Road Collection: The unique pillows of the BASHŌ collection.
Inspired by Japanese haiku poetry and beautiful patterns, these beautiful throw pillows bring colour and luxury into your interior!
The decorative throw pillows have an elegant, modern look even though they are made of vintage asian indigo textiles. These handwoven textiles were once handmade for Chinese women's bridal chests, but remained unused when this custom fell out of favour in daily, modern life. Now a combination of three pieces of old textile create a wonderful contemporary decoration on your sofa, armchair or bed!
Each individual piece of textile is selected for their beautiful woven patterns and different tints of blue. Sometimes red or purple threads were added (see pictures of the details). The back is made of new blue or off-white cotton, sourced locally. All this is brought together with a brass image of a camel: the symbol of The Silk Road Collection.
Every piece of textile used in the pillows comes in a finite supply and combinations differ, creating truly unique pillows!
Sourced globally. Made locally.
-Each pillow is hand-made and one of a kind, pillows will be very similar but may not be a 100% exact duplicate of the one in the picture.
-Slight variations in color, markings, and pattern placement is a common characteristic with handmade and vintage fibers. Color appearance due to your monitor/browser may also vary.
-Due to the age and way they were stored over the years, the textiles may sometimes show some discolouration or stains. The pillows can be hand washed using soft delicate hand soap, do not soak for long time. Do not tumble dry. You can iron with low-heat (take care not to place ironer on the brass logo.
-Pillow covers come without inner pillows.
-Inner pillows can be ordered separately (soft polyester filling).
